The flight to Hong Kong was great with everyone getting some sleep. We arrived at 6:30 in the morning in Hong Kong. We caught the train from the airport, then a bus and then a 500 metre walk to our accommodation in the typically hot and humid Hong Kong weather. While the weather was similar to Rome the attitude of people was very different. Everyone has been so polite and accommodating to a fault. We looked lost as soon as we got off the bus so a lady from the store we were outside came and insisted on calling the place we were staying in order to help us out. The waitress at lunch allowed us to "hotspot" off here personal phone etc etc.
When we got to the United Services Recreation Club, the people in our room had checked out early so we were able to straight to our room and then to have a swim in the pool. Awesome! A short nap and then we walked the city. Hunger and the return of pain to Sal's ear made it a bit stressful, but lunch and a visit to a friendly doctor got us back on our feet and shopping again.
Dinner was with our friends the Yorks. We are at the cheapest Michelin starred restaurant in the world. The food was fantastic r. Afterwards we caught up with some other old friends and attacked the Stanley st night markets. Trashy plastic shoes, fake wallets and pull back cars for Ed
It has been a short and rewarding time coming through Hong Kong, but I think we are ready to be home again.
