2.4 😱Liege, welcome the Layson's 😱

It started off as a 5:00 o'clock morning to eat our 1st breakfast of raspberries and yoghurt and then we packed our bags then went through get our taxi. Dad started to get mad as we waited for our 15 minute late cab to arrive. We were gaining speed to the Gare De Nord as our taxi decided to drive on the wrong side of the road on the busy Paris roads. Dad made his displeasure known to the driver and we quickly turned into a side street. We got off at Gard De Nord to enjoy our 2nd breakfast of ice chocolates, pain au chocolates, croissants and dad a coffee at Starbucks.

We all enjoyed our angel faced peaches(squashed peaches) suggested by Tegan that were juicy and delicious from the Galleries Laffette.

Mum and Dad enjoyed some discussion while playing with a fidget spinner.
On a two and a half hours train trip from Paris to Liege, we enjoyed doing some maths, watching movies, playing on devices and eating food as we waited for our eighty minute delay from train technical problems. Mum loved having goats cheese for her 3rd breakfast. We all had another croissant, brownie and yoghurt.

When we got to Liege we went out to the Carefore where Kate went crazy for mussels ( even though we didn't get any) and Mum went crazy for anything Belgium brand. We spent a lot of money in the shops on crazy and peculiar foods.
Mum bought Dad 3 strong and big Belgium beer.

An Australian shop in Belgium.... well I don't think waffles are traditional in Australia.

A few selfies to start Liege with the Liege filter

A bike ride to end the first day in Liege  for Dad through Liege streets and hills with the highlight being the final hill of Liege Bastogne Liege. While Dad was on his ride the girls and Ed went for a little walk to find a sport shop. While we were walking down the street we saw some sealed houses and gangs of men on the street so we ran out quickly and went shopping to calm mum down. Then we got a strawberry pastry for dessert. Yum!!
