Covid week 5 12-18 April

Week 5 (2nd week of school holidays)

Things are all becoming a bit same old same old with covid.

The kids continued to bake

After a lovely lead up to Easter, we spent the Easter long weekend quietly at home.

We planned to do a lead up to Mark's birthday with a dress up and special dinner each night of the week.  The plan was :
Monday- First 10 years- Dress up - lego in nose, eat under table
Tuesday- Wear VB singlets and eat 'mud'
Wednesday - Wear triathlon and have carbo loading
etc etc
but instead,  Holly did alot of music practice with the chicken!

So the special lead up did not really happen- but we did dress up with VB singlets for dad one night.

We have being buying things on-line and we splurged a little and bought 'Jack and Jill chairs'.  We decided to sit on the front grass and watch people go by.

Sal got a little addicted to a South Korean Netflix drama called "Crash Landing on You".

We bought new stools for the kitchen and the kids got to break up a stool each.  Ed neatly unscrewed all the parts.  Kate and Holly decimated theirs by javelining, belting and chucking theirs across the lawn.

Then had a big birthday bash on Saturday.  It was a perfect day for Mark.  He started with a nice ride to Kurnell, we then had potato gems and chorizo for breakfast, BLT's for lunch, refrigerator cake and sticky chicken drumsticks and bung it in chocolate cake for dinner.  We set the outdoor screen up to watch "To Catch a Thief" and cranked up his new birthday present- a fire pit!  Sal and Ed slept in the tent after the movie.
