Another lovely day was had by all in Belgium. After a disappointing shopping trip to non existent markets ( though we did fit in more waffles for morning tea) we found the town square of Tournai and another fantastic lunch. This time a massive pot of mussels and salade Canadian.
After lunch we went to the Kluisbos recreation centre with a pool and water slides. This is just what the kids had been longing for after endless historic (boring?) towns.
It was weird sitting on the grassy hill with all the other adults as they smoked, drank beer and ate frites. It seems most people here spend their days drinking beer and smoking. If they are not doing that, they are out bike riding!
