Lost in translation

There are lots of things that get lost in the cultural shift from one place to another, and things that get lost in translation form one language to another. Here are some of those things.

England: 

Early morning coffee does not exist. The sun set at 10pm and no coffee shops are open at 6am.  Must sleep in a little more! 

Belgium:

Driving on the wrong side of the road. I hope we can learn quickly.

We tried to buy some nice butter, instead bought a block of yeast, mmm delicious.  

We asked for a salad sandwich.  The request brought a strange look as the person making our sandwich proceeded to put just lettuce in our sandwich.
