Summer Fun #11

Today was Sunday.  It meant a day for family, both church family and genetic family.  We started the day slowly for a Sunday. Dad was neither preaching nor leading so was able to go a bit slower. Ed and dad went to church in the morning, whilst mum and Holly went to Aldi to get the food supplies for the next few days. Kate slept it, and that was the best part of her day.
In fact today, mum was the sinner and Kate the saint, or so says Instagram. Hmmmm.

Church was a little depleted in the morning as holidaysnhave begun in earnest.
After returning we had a lunch of toasties (using up all the old bread in the freezer) and dumplings.
Then we got a call from margaret and David about trying to exchange Christmas presents.  After a little thought we headed over to their place to do some presents.  We also agreed to leave the kids for the night. Woohoo!
On the way we stopped in at West Pymble pool for a swim.  It was a love.y afternoon and 4/5 of th familynhad a nice swim. One member (unnamed to protect the guilty) was not so happy. We pushed on in any case.
We then went to Margaret and David’s for afternoon tea and presents.

The most well received and largest present was Mum’s birthday present, a new blender.

Mum and dad went home and then off to night church.  It was going to be a small holiday version of church so it was set up like a cafe for the night.  It was a nice night of fellowship and food with our church family. We also discovered a bible had the initials “KRL” on it.  I wonder who it could be?

Then mum and dad got to come home and test out the blender, while the kids enjoyed a sleep over at their grandparents (D & M)

Until tomorrow.
