What better way to start the day than by the bike ride challenge.
Ed started strong but the chain fell off in the first 10 m. Sal fixed him up and pushed him off. He worked hard and pedaled his little heart out. He might have been in the top two gears so his legs were going round double time... and he made it.
Ed rode straight to the shed and collapsed on the ground! He had definitely worked hard.
He started to feel sick and stood up quickly. Not a good idea! He did not look good so he lay down again. For the next 1/2 hr Ed moaned on the floor.
The problem was though, the rest of us were keen to go into town to get Sal some birthday presents. So we cojoled Ed into the car- only for him to tell us how sick he was. You can guess where we are going with this- Ed then chucked up his breakfast. Luckily we are an expert on Ed and had a bucket all prepared.
Back on the road. First stop Harris Scarf for lingerie for Sal for her birthday and then onto the Antique Emporium. Ed was still moaning. Time for another chuck. At AE, Ed started feeling better when he saw all the cars!
Then onto Ashgrove cheese. What a dis-a-aka-pointment. No way grandma was staying there. We were lucky to find a bakery 3.8km away and the pies were hot and the service amazing.
Finally- Mark arrived. So good to have him here. We might have had a whole list of things we needed him to do. Most importantly, teaching Grandad to use the mower.
