3 teams emerged from the start of the day.
The competitive ones: Holly, Mariella and Mark. They were unofficially the winners of the wave.
Holly was close to throwing up at the start until she saw mud and said “oh, there’s mud.” Like a true runner, Mariella picked out those ahead of her and slowly ran them down.
The fun joggers: Ed, Kate and Sal
Jogged and walked up hills. Ed lost his shoes multiple times in the mud but loved every moment of it and even called himself Peppa Pig “I like to jump in muddy puddles.” Kate’s specialty was the slippery slides and worked out how to avoid a lot of the squelchy mud. Sal nailed the lillie pads and over came her fear of heights.
The others: Gavin, Cadel and Jackie’s sister and nephew. Jackie and Rosie just did the jumping castle.
Foamfest was totally awesome and the best gift from St Matts for our 10 year anniversary.
The rest of the afternoon was spent removing the dirt and mud from every part of our body and resting. We are all pretty shattered and a little sun burnt.
WE finished the night with a tasty bbq pork fest. mmmm... fried pork!!
