Summer Fun #17 Antique Emporium

Let’s chalk up another Pool on the tally: Devonport Aquatic Centre.

It’s probably one of the nicest pools thus far. Full of locals doing aqua aerobics. Grandma and Grandad watched as the kids did their own 2km set. They are doing really well keeping us their fitness. Hols ensures they all keep on task, Ed manages well keeping up and Kate keeps on getting happier with every lap. #proudparents

Reward for the swim is a big brekky at Laneway. And by big I mean HuGe. Kate had unfinished business with her chicken and bacon waffle. She was not beaten this time.

Hols enjoyed the bean and egg Spanish dish.
Ed and Sal shared the Laneway Big Breakfast and Apple Crumble Waffles.  Grandma and Grandad were a lot more self controlled with poached eggs on toast.

Next stop shopping in Devonport. Sal was very keen to buy an antique ring so googled stores and found the “Antique Marketplace.” Wowie. Sal, grandma and grandad were in heaven. It had hundreds of pieces of antique jewellery, 20,000 books, crockery, fur coats, stuffed animals. Grandma bought a fantastic sled for shoes, Sal her ring and Grandad lots of books.  We will return.

At the same time, the kids went shopping with their birthday money. Hols bought denim shorts (the ones Kate wanted for Christmas) and somehow Ed convinced Grandad to buy him new shorts. Kate found lots of bargains in Cotton on.
