Summer Fun #6

Well, folks it was a big summer day for our clan. Mark and Sal were both working so the kids had to fend for themselves.  A short morning briefing was given to number 2 and 3 whilst number 1 slept in. In hindsight that was a mistake!!  They were given a couple of tasks to do, to make some cupcakes in a tiger design for the mammoth "Slug fest" that night.  Mark's water polo team, the slugs, were playing their last game of the year at Dawny's and it was set to be a big family event.
Upon return from work Mark found the cupcakes mostly done. by 2 and 3, whilst 1, well... did other things.  Not happy Jan!!
Number 1 finished the last few off.

It was then time for the orthodontist and Kate got "bands". She is not happy that over Christmas she will need to remove the bands to eat.  The price of straight teeth.

After the orthodontist, the kids caught the train to Summer Hill where dad had a meeting.  Needless to say some drinks were needed.

A quick stop at home and it was on the way to slugfest via Leichhardt pool for a quick swim.  Kate has been told she needs to be swimming 2-3 times a week on top of practices before club nationals that are coming up in January.




Sal caught the ferry to Balmain to see us at Dawny's and we were greeted with the lamb spit for the night. It was going to be a good night. Below is the lamb spit that became our dinner

The first game of the night was the SLAGS (wives and girlfriends of Slugs are called SLAGS) VS the "MOZZIES" ie under 14s.  Ed really wanted to drown mum!  It was a great spectacle. I don't know if Sal will be up for it next year.

After Sal and Ed, was the "main attraction". The slugs were in full swing and one 15-1 against the hapless Stingers team (a gay social team) It is a great bunch of guys to hang out with and to play a bit of water polo with.  We all had a great time.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
