Day 27: A hot then rainy day in the Mid Pyrennees

Our day started by Facetiming Grandma and Grandad and a failed attempt to Skype Margaret and David.
Sal and the kids went for a swim in our "two thumbs up" awesome pool while Mark rode up some very big mountains.

To get to town, there is a bushy path that follows the river. The water in the river is freezing cold from the melted snow.  There are also pipes bringing the steaming hot "smelly" water into the river from the Thermal springs.

We checked out all the Patisseries and are yet to find one to our standard. We tried MilleFeuille and Gateaux Opera... Not very nice at all. :(

As it was very hot, we spent the afternoon sitting in our airconditioned unit playing on iPads and watching Le Tour.

Bug Bite Facts:
Mark: 1 bee sting under the helmet at the bottom of the Oude Kwaremont.
Sally: 1 wasp bite from the pool at Richeliue
Kate: 1 tick from roadside at Caterets
Holly: 1 tick from roadside at Plateau de Beille
Ed: still has the vomiting Bug
