Day 38: a bitter taste!

Today was our last day to really "relax" before we head to Rome, Hong Kong and then home. It was another sunny day of about 35 degrees, perfect for doing not much around the pool.
We had a late start to the day, except Mark who went for his last ride of the holiday.

Kate slept in till about 9:30 and the rest of us lay about before having another lazy swim in the pool.  We had a quick trip to the shops to get some bread for another salad lunch at home.  Our plan was to have a nice dinner out.  It was then time for a siesta and another swim.
Daddy then went out and bought a bike Jersey fron the local bike shop.  It was sold with typical Italian customer service, ie none at all.  Despite this it was a nice top.

Not long after this we went out for our "nice dinner". Here are our smiles before we ate.

Sadly it was our worst meal of the day.  We picked a place that had great reviews on "trip advisor" and was not too expensive.  Sadly it was horrible mass produced food that was expensive to boot. It cost more for the 5 of us than the beautiful meal for 7 people with the Slaters on the beach in Recco.  The meal is still sitting with us all now. We then had to go out for a gelato to try and get rid of the taste from dinner.  It was a nice way to end a terrible meal.

After gelato we were lucky enough to get a great sunset over the lake.  As I wrote we are playing cards in the warm summer evening.

Tomorrow it is on to Rome.
