It is a 7 1/2 hour drive from Caterets to Briancon. We drove past Carcasson but just had to admire it from a distance.
We also drove past the Bastion de Roy and thought of my dad.....
Kate has been feeling really unwell the last few days and did not enjoy the car trip.
Briancon is a walled city and we are staying in the heart of it. We are going to have so much fun here. Gayelene has also joined us for a couple of days.
And finally pizza at the restaurant beneath our hotel. Holly has been looking forward to this moment for a long time.
