Here is a non exhaustive summary from someone who spent 5 hours in Geneva.
1. Know your church history. From a reformation perspective, Geneva has a rich history. If you listen to John Dickson's undeceptions podcast you will learn a lot about the role of John Calvin and Geneva.
Main point = JC (being John Calvin) pointed to JC (Jesus Christ), wrote some serious books and got the whole of Geneva to become ‘Protestants’ and not Catholics.
Once you know some of your reformation church history, you can, like the Rev Doctor, enjoy the Reformation Wall.

| 2. Know a little about world politics. With the UN Headquarters in Geneva you can see that Switzerland still likes to think there can be an impartial body to create world peace. A quick search also shows that you also cannot just pop in to the UN for a look-see like we can at our parliament. Given it is not polite to talk politics, then it is best to enjoy the photos and the strange broken chair artwork outside the UN.
3. Bike riding is fun and a great way to see Geneva. A short cycle of 45km, in under 2 1/2 hours can take you from Geneva, to the French Border 🇫🇷 (which is literally a tiny bridge over a creek that I missed the first time we rode over it),
along the river, past donut shaped decks on the lake for sunbaking, past the Rolex offices, the special fountain, around UN and through the city. It is a little wild cycling through the city, around trams, Doing round abouts on the wrong side of the road and just generally having no idea where you are going. The cycle lanes are pretty wide and well marked, and unlike in Australia, no one seems to yell at cyclists. If cycling is not your thing, there are no shortages of nice cars especially Lamborghinis in Geneva. Just know that the parking rules differ depending on the colour of paint they have used to draw the lines 4. Things that need to be avoided in Geneva. - Public Toilets.
