As Sal headed north by train I went south and east via plane. After our shared breakfast I had a short drive to Heathrow where I met up with Ben.
A very uneventful flight had us landing early in Toulouse with a temperature of 38 degrees. After jamming two bikes and our luggage into a supposedly “mid sized” SUV we had another uneventful drive had us at our accommodation by 7pm local time (sunset 9:42pm)
Sadly no wifi here so photos will come later when I get some wifi. (update: as you can see wifi: Voila!)
All up it was an efficient transfer day. As we drove south into the Pyrenees we got a sense of the scale of these mountains and what awaits us for the next week and a half of rising. Can’t wait to finally get out on the road!
